Shire twins Nikita & Desiree will be celebrating a milestone in their young career this coming Monday (13 December) at the Brass Monkey in Cronulla with the launch of their EP coinciding with their debut professional performance. Even though they are just 19 years old, the twin sisters have developed a passion for song writing over the last 4 years and come to the attention of one of Australia’s prominent guitarists Peter Northcote who has produced and recorded their debut EP Brave.

As young 15 years olds Nikita & Desiree were spurred into action by the early Taylor Swift songs and have since watched her become a worldwide sensation. Over the years the girls have crafted their own ’story telling in song’ that sometimes draws on country style but at other times crosses to contemporary pop. A fact emphasised by the fact that their video for ‘Stays’ is currently being played on both the Country Music Channel and Rage!

Backed by some amazing musicians including drummer Dave Ferry (Kings, Queens & Fairytales), bass player Bobbby Poulton & guitarist Chris Jones – the gig is shaping up as a watershed performance debut with Peter Northcote also lined up as a special guest.
